The news on Baby Huneke
Transfered - 11/03/09
After well over a year without having or taking the time to update our blog....we now have the most amazing reason to keep on it! I'm sure if you're reading this, you know about the most miraculous journey we've taken and the the most amazing event of all occurred yesterday!
With the chauffeur assistance of our friend Kristin, her, myself, Roz and Dan started our day out yesterday with lunch and then off to our Dr appointment at 1. The final documents were signed and we proceeded off to the Ultrasound room for the transfer.
Here's Roz and I, documents signed, moments before the procedure!
Starting at the left, Joy - our endocrinologist who's been taking very good care of Roz and Dan's embryos, Dr. Trumbell - the infertility Dr who's been caring for all of us, on the right was our ultrasonographer. When Dr. Trumbell was ready for the embryo, they notified Joy in the room next to us to 'load it', she ran it over (running into the nurse and Dan on the way) to Dr. Trumbell and we were all able to watch via ultrasound the embryo's journey to it's new home! This picture was taken at exactly 1:35, we were all closely watching the embryo being released into my uterus! It was amazing and exciting all at the same time!!

This is literally MINUTES after the transfer....I had to lay flat without moving for an hour on the bed in the ultrasound room. It was almost surreal! We were able to chat together until the hour was up, they sent us on our way.....off to get Aidan for Dan and Roz and home to lay around with orders of strict R&R for the next 2-4 days for me.
The REI team who's been working with us from the start - Cathy, RN, myself, Dr. Trumbell, Roz & Dan. Amazing to think that at this moment, baby Huneke is in the process of finding itself a good home to settle into for the next 9 months - what a miracle!!
November 12th and the 14th, we are able to confirm the pregnancy with blood tests and hopefully days from then, we'll have a confirmatory ultrasound to see baby!! Now it's just a time to wait and pray that everything goes well - stay tuned for updates!! Thanks for all your support as it's meant the world to Dan and Roslyn and my husband and I!!
